CAD Technician
We are looking for a CAD Technician for a 4 month initial contract. During the current pandemic this will be a Full time remote working position. The daily rate on offer is circa 350 Euros per day.
As the CAD Technician will support the preparation and ongoing development of layouts and physical designs of energy flexible generation and energy storage projects. These services will be provided from project concept phase through the regulatory consenting phase to the construction phase, including As-Built Documentation.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Production of site layout drawings based on site surveys.
- Production of plant scheme layouts in coordination with project engineering teams comprising civil, electrical, mechanical and control and instrumentation engineering disciplines.
- Production of Planning Permission Drawings in coordination with the multi discipline engineering team, Architects and Planners.
- Production of 2D and 3D engineering drawings of power generation and power storage plant schemes in coordination with project engineering team and project stakeholders.
- Production of General Arrangement and Construction Detail Drawings for Structural Steelwork Structures, Reinforced Concrete Structures, Roads and Services and Drainage Construction.
- Production of landscaping drawings and drawings of proposed in-situ investigations.
- The ability to carry out preliminary surveys of existing facility infrastructure and prepare, from scratch, associated information drawings.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of five years' experience in the development of industrial facility layouts, preferably power related, and in the production of drawings for same for concept evaluation, planning permission submissions and tender enquiry onto construction.
- A high level of understanding, knowledge and operability of the following CAD software packages: (i) Auto-CAD and (ii) Revit.
- Strong technical and physical design capability.
- Experience of working with, interrogating and use of point cloud data.
- The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and deliver excellent client service.
- Production of work in compliance with the company QA/QC Procedures.
- Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structure
- Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
- An enthusiastic approach to work.
