Looking for a role as a Restraint and Confiscation Analyst (Financial Investigator)
We are looking for a Restraint and Confiscation Analyst (Financial Investigator) to join our team based in London.
About the Role
As a Restraint and Confiscation Analyst you will contribute to the development of our Investigation Policy in respect of matters relating to loss recovery. You will also prioritise and undertake Financial Investigation casework and provide expert guidance and advice to the Operational Investigation teams and other agencies as necessary.
About You
You'll maximise recovery of funds lost through criminal activity. You'll also maintain operational relationships with stakeholders and customers as required, ensuring that the teams activities are properly communicated and understood and that our reputation is enhanced through such liaison.
You will also provide a comprehensive Financial Investigation service to reduce the business losses, utilising Financial Investigation skills and resource as necessary.
You will support and conduct POCA investigations and ensure that all Financial Investigations are undertaken to time and to agreed standards. You will also prepare Production, Confiscation and Restraint orders in respect assets suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
You'll present cases in the Crown Court in respect of such orders and provide all necessary evidence and documentation to a Judge in chambers as required.
You will also deliver specialist training on Investigations to relevant people and/or functions - through presentations, coaching, seminars, road- shows and written communications as required.
About You
You will be an experienced Investigator with over 3 years' experience of FI work
You will possess excellent communication skills both orally and through a variety of communication media.
You will have thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation at a practical and tactical level. Including but not limited to, RIPA, HRA, DPA, PACE, POCA and all relevant criminal legislation. Working knowledge of JARD and RAAT
Mandatory/Essential Qualifications and Training
1) Essential - Accredited Financial Investigator qualification with the National Crime Agency
2) Mandatory - Confiscation powers under POCA 2002
3) Mandatory - NCALT training as provided by NCA
4) Beneficial - Senior Authorizing Officer (SAO) training
