Magento Technical Architect - Media - West London
My client has chosen Magento Commerce as their eCommerce platform and as such require an experienced Magento Technical Architect to provide architectural guidance to ensure successful delivery of functional requirements.
Key responsibilities:

• Leading the design of a multi-brand, globalised Magento Commerce implementation, providing guidance for best practice implementation.
• Delivering technical designs and related artefacts to development team, to facilitate the development of an appropriate system to meet captured business requirements.
• Liaising closely with business analyst and technical lead to review and understand requirements (both high-level and detailed), business cases, use cases, business processes, business metrics and functional specifications.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Expert knowledge of Magento 2+ with demonstrable experience in designing and delivering enterprise scale eCommerce capability
• 5+ years' experience in a Technical Architect role and 5-10 years' experience in a development role. Experience of working with development teams in both on and offshore environments.
• 5+ years' experience of delivering large scale digital IT projects.
• The platform will be hosted in Magento Commerce Cloud so any experience with this PaaS and its development life cycle and deployment process would be advantageous
• A deep understanding of Magento's capabilities around multiple websites/stores/views and how best we can use these to configure individual storefronts for different events with potential cross-selling capability
• Key areas for architectural input are tax configuration and product setup given our multi-site requirements. These are mastered externally and will require automated integration into Magento
• Experience in customising the checkout process to integrate with external systems
• Understanding of and experience with SAML based SSO with Magento acting as service provider is desirable
• Ability to use Magento's role-based permission system to architect a security solution which provide appropriate permissions to different actors ie admin users, business users, customers
• Experience with Magento's B2B functionality to be able to design for both B2B and b2c processes
• Experience integrating Magento with external applications and services
• The ability to identify existing marketplace plugins or design of custom plugins to provide required functionality
• Experience of client side frameworks, particularly React.js
