Description

An SC (Security Cleared) Information/Data Manager is required to offer 12 months support within a Government organisation in Warrington.

Please note, you must hold current and active Security Clearance. Upon a successful interview, and due to the nature of the organisation, you will also be required to undergo a further enhanced level of clearance, which can take a further 3 to 4 months to process.

Overview of role

As a result of the complex data and information management landscape and the need to mature the organisations risk management capability, the development of a Second Line Assurance process is a priority.

As a Second Line Assurance Senior Officer, you will work within the wider Data & Information Operations team. This role will support embedding a robust risk management framework across the organisation in respect of data and information management. Furthermore, it will be to engage in assurance activity, compliance reviews and the identification and mitigation of risks, whether impacting at strategic, departmental or business area level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collect assurance evidence from a variety of sources including face to face interviews, review of documentation pertinent to the subject of the review, and the construction and execution of test programmes.
  • Analyse assurance evidence to derive conclusions and formulate advice/recommendations to improve/mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance efficiency,
  • Draft written reports to communicate the conclusions of assurance work to management
  • Follow up with the business the implementation of agreed actions.
  • Contribute to the development of briefing papers and provide draft papers for relevant committees.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working.

Requirements:

  • Risk management qualification/accreditation eg IRM, IIA desired but not essential
  • Understanding of information management and the Agency's current and future priorities.
  • Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Drafting/report writing skills.
  • Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.
