Description
The post holder will play an important role in the development and implementation of the Trust's communications and engagement strategy.
You will develop and deliver integrated plans that bring to life our transformation and improvement initiatives in order to inform, engage and involve our wide range of stakeholders, including patients, staff, local communities, NHS and local authority partners, politicians and media. Your main focus will be to support our ambitious programme for a new Hospital and major improvements to other hospitals, which form part of the Government's Health Infrastructure Plan. You will work particularly closely with the director of redevelopment and his team.
The postholder will help connect the Trust's initiatives to the wider healthcare environment, identifying and securing strategic media, communications and other influencing opportunities. You will also support the chief executive and other executive directors by developing effective leadership messaging as well as articles, presentations and other materials.
Key Skills:
- Experience of developing and implementing effective communications strategies and plans
- Proven ability to lead and manage effective, integrated communications and engagement projects including tendering and procurement to support the management of a delegated budget
- Experience of placing strategic media stories and day-to-day press office work
- Experience of delivering and/or commissioning communications and collateral and activities
