A London based client is seeking an Information Security Consultant to support their solar system technologies team and Information technology department by providing a cyber security strategy and setting roadmap for their business.The role offers remote working and a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative projects with the prospect of excellent growth opportunities.
Successful candidate will be able to provide cyber security consultation and advice and contribute towards company’s governance risk and information assurance activities.
Key Client Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within the industry and must have relevant Information Security and Cyber technical experience, including awareness of the regulatory environment and legislation, business services and admin processes.
• Proven knowledge and experience of IT Security tools, capabilities, and controls and be able to perform Vulnerability and Threat Analysis.
• Consulting experience is essential with a good knowledge of IT networking
• Proven knowledge and experience in Industry Standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Provide IT security and risk support and review day to day operations within the IT department.
• Required to perform Information Security Control reviews, assessments or audits and producing subsequent reports.
• Proven ability to analyse, investigate, audit and rationalise factors leading to security decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and challenge at all levels.
Desired Skills:
• Understanding of ISO standards, PCI DSS and HIPAA regulations.
• Experience working within the utilities systems and data handling processes.
• Experience working with Solar systems technologies or SCADA systems.
• Knowledge and awareness of AWS and other cloud platforms environment.
• Ability to provide full analysis in case of breaches, incidents and perform internal and external audit, compliance monitoring and other review findings to determine IT and Cyber risk implications and consideration of regulatory implications and notify the FCA, ICO or other relevant regulators.
• Ability to set data privacy policies and lead any tasks related to GDPR legislation.
• Experience working with C-level members in proposing key security strategy and setting roadmap aligned with business vision.
Qualifications / Certifications:
One or more Information/Cyber Security Certification/Qualification such as;
• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent Or;
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
