Description

We are looking for Mobile Backhaul Security Engineer for 6 months rolling contract.

  • 3+ years experience in a Mobile Backhaul security role with a proven track record of delivery best in class solution
  • Specific experience of delivering backhaul solutions into the shared MBNL network or other multi-MNO shared network environment
  • Degree or equivalent qualification

Technical:

  • Excellent knowledge of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, and other 3GPP architectures and the relevant transport requirements to support them
  • Experience in mobile/fixed telecommunications industry in the role of a designer with business-critical, high-availability systems and networks
  • Experience of ISO27001 and CAS(T) is essential
  • Good knowledge of mobile network security architecture and authentication via IPSec, PKI and DHCP
  • Experience of managing relationships with suppliers and third-parties, of product/feature selection and of delivering those products into a production environment

Specialism in several of the following:

  • IP technologies TCP, UDP, SCTP
  • Routing and LAN switching, routing protocols OSPF, IS-IS, eBGP, iBGP
  • IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
  • IP/MPLS technologies, RSVP and LDP, IPVPNs
  • Principles and solutions for securing and interconnecting IP-based mobile networks, IPSec, PKI and DHCP (Nokia)
  • Designing highly resilient packet networks
  • Microwave and Millimetre wave radio s (Siae/NEC/Ericsson)

General:

  • Practical experience in delivering backhaul solutions for the support of rapid network rollout and capacity enablement
  • Good communication skills with the ability to broker agreement across teams and presenting & communicating highly technical information to both technical & non-technical personnel
  • Knowledge of industry best practice methodologies for analysing, defining and documenting the link between input business requirements and output technical solutions
  • Understanding of project management techniques and tools
