Marketing Manager - Edinburgh - £350+ - 6 Month Contract
This role will lead the design and implementation of the marketing and communication strategy for client to successfully promote with impact the purpose and missions of the client to external stakeholders
The role will be involved in delivering marketing and communication activity across a range of strategically planned and reactive opportunities across all channels.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on the design and implementation of an overall client marketing strategy.
- Design and implement an activity plan to ensure proactive and innovative communications supporting the development of the client
- Contribute to the design of the Partnership & Engagement function and to play an integral role in development of the overall approach to our external engagement.
- Design and develop creative products - presentations, briefings etc. that will maximise the organisations reach and support it's purpose and missions
- Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalisation of messages and measurability; data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation.
- Manage the marketing and communication delivery plan ensuring related milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Act as first point of contact for the Chair, Chief Executive with regards to offering strategic presentational advice and external communications such as providing support with conference presentations.
- Produce comprehensive briefings, Q&As, speeches, presentational material and other information to ensure delivery of messages and that key personnel, including the Chair and Chief Executive, are fully equipped to respond to issues which may arise externally.
- Foster a strong, collaborative relationship with external organisation's communications team to ensure consistency of approach
Essential Criteria
- A relevant qualification in communications, marketing, media or journalism (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience managing external communications collaborating effectively in a wide range of settings and with different audiences
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the full media mix, including social media and the impact technology is having on communications and collaboration.
- An excellent understanding of how to use marketing tools and techniques to increase the reach, impact and reputation of the client
- An aptitude for collaborating with different partners and agencies to deliver an integrated joint communications strategy.
- An ability to focus on clear goals and objectives and to align competing priorities in order to achieve these.
- First-class written and spoken communication skills.
- Membership of a recognised industry body such as the Institute of Internal Communication or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
