You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Senior or Lead Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Advanced ability in Kotlin
- Established experience in a Front Office trading or brokerage environment, whether in investment banking, asset management, investment management or with a hedge fund
- Familiarity with Fixed Income, FX, money markets, equities or commodities markets
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE and not essential:
- Python
- Front Office finance- Fixed Income, equities, FX cash and derivative products
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Buy side- asset management, hedge fund, investment manager
Role: Kotlin Developer (Software Engineer Programmer Kotlin JVM Java Python JavaScript React Angular Vue SQL Amazon Web Services AWS Lambda EC2 S3 DynamoDB Agile Finance Trading Front Office Fixed Income FX Equities Derivatives Buy Side Asset Manager) required by our asset management client in London. You will be forming a new team to build a series of new Front Office trading tools for portfolio managers and quantitative analysts across Fixed Income, equities and FX, including derivative markets. These tools will be built in Kotlin and Python on an AWS hosted environment, meaning you will be able to learn and practise Python. You will also have the ability practise some JavaScript (React) for Front End work.
This is an excellent opportunity to enter a Front Office financial trading environment if you do not have any yet. It is also an excellent opportunity to acquire skills in Python, AWS and React. The roles will begin as 6 month contracts that will be extended until next March and beyond, IR35 dependent, or go permanent. The programme of work is budgeted for the long term.
Hours are 9-5. There will be no, or very limited, travel. This is an excellent company to join with significant investment in technology.
