Description

I am currently recruiting a Service Support Engineer (Dutch and English speaking) for an excellent 12 months contract in Merelbeke, Belgium.

For the department "Systems and Operations" - Service "IT Datacom & security" my client is looking for someone for:

risk and impact analysis when implementing changes

collaborating on incidents and problems, this across teams (applications, smart meters, juice, ...)

processing of changes and follow-up that they are implemented on time

cooperation, follow-up, evaluation and correction of the external service providers who are deployed under direction or service contract and for these assignments

Technical context.

The perfect candidate has good knowledge in the following domains:

  • Network switching, Routers in the WAN/MAN/LAN environment
  • Wireless
  • Xplore, APNs
  • IP telephony/fax gateway/
  • FireWall
  • LoadBalancers
  • Forward and Reverse Proxy/Url -filtering
  • DNS/DHCP/...
  • SSL VPN/RSA/B2B
  • registration URL
  • Specific knowledge of CheckPoint/Palo Alto/F5/Infoblox/Cisco
  • Switches, Nexus/Cisco Wirless/Office 365, secure connection O365 (sts)
  • Knowledge from ASA, ACE, ISE
  • Knowledge of Linux (Redhat, Suse), Windows , VMware
  • Knowledge of Window 7, Citrix, being able to establish relationships between networks, server and applications in problem operation.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • ITIL minded
  • Analytical mind with a broad view
  • Team-player
  • Punctual in keeping appointments
  • Good communication skills. Assertive yet polite
  • Dutch (MUST) with knowledge of English
  • Relevant experience in the energy sector
  • If necessary, you are mobile and willing to go to other clients locations.

Additional job information:

  • The location for this assignment is Merelbeke, with possibly sporadic relocations to other clients locations.
