Description

Due to retirement our client is looking for a urgent requirement for a IBM Z-Series Mainframe specialist to work as a System Administrator for their office in Redditch, Birmingham.

The role is a 12-18 month contract.

The role responsibilities are to include;

  • Maintaining in-house developed apps on the Z-Series Mainframe.
  • Check and manage tickets, review processes
  • DB2 Database Backups & Administration
  • Check & launch batch jobs
  • Replace & check batch audit sheet
  • Cycle backup tapes Safe 1 >
  • Replenish log sheets/recorder chart
  • Set up and run DR FULLPACX backups
  • Check EREP report
  • IBM printers - fix and feed with consumables
  • Edit dates and submit HWEEKLY batch jobs
  • Replenish LTO backup tapes to/from offsite
  • Edit MTHLYRUN jobs schedule & submit
  • Check Operator 191 A disk space & delete
  • Check all UK66 IT UPS units battery state
