Marketing ensures that the investment bank gains the greatest value from its brand, the heart of the Firm's franchise. It manages every aspect of our brand worldwide, from corporate advertising campaigns and sponsorships to umbrella marketing messages, research, product naming, graphic standards, and publication systems. Marketing also provides strategic guidance and creative support for business units and internal groups seeking to harness the power of our brand. It helps transform our intellectual capital into client relationships by planning and executing hundreds of events and conferences each year and assessing their business impact.
Team Profile:
Located within the Marketing Department, the Business Development Services (BDS) team is the primary provider of content for MSIM's new business effort in an environment focused on the growth of the business. The BDS team is responsible for driving the sales efforts in the initial and crucial stage of new business acquisitions and to ultimately help realise the firm's revenue targets, through completion of RFPs/RFIs. It is also responsible for responding to existing clients' due diligence questionnaires.
The person filling the role will take responsibility for the entire process of answering RFPs and RFIs for a number of products. The role would suit an individual who aspires to be a career RFP writer with direct experience in the institutional investment management industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Completion of RFPs/RFIs
- Specialised in an asset class/strategies to partner with the Portfolio Specialists
- Maintenance of the RFP database (Qvidian), as assigned, to ensure all information is refreshed regularly
- Contribution towards on-going efficiency and quality improvement
- Perform related duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Strong academics; educated to degree standard
- Some RFP writing experience within the asset management industry is highly desirable
- Understanding of the Fixed Income and equity asset classes and investment processes
- Ability to handle numerous products
- Highly detail-oriented self-starter and team player, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effectiveness while working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively project manage his/her assignments meeting all deadlines
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- IMC qualified preferred
