Description

Job Title: CNC Operator/Setter
Location: Washington
6 Month
Paying: £15.76 PAYE

Advantage Resourcing are currently recruiting for a number of CNC Operatives to work with our prestigious client at their site in Washington. The successful candidates will be joining a leading global defence organisation, and will be working largely unsupervised and will therefore be expected to work off your own initiative in a busy machining shop.

To be considered for the role, you must:
Be able to understand engineering drawings in imperial and metric sizes
Have an understanding of drawing tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface finishes
Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, ring gauges.
Familiarity with Fanuc 21 iT type control panels.
The ability to program, set and run a range of CNC turning centers/machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain Controls
Be conversant with cutting a wide range of materials including Non Ferrous, Aluminum, Alloy Steels and others
Be willing to be trained in other machining/manufacturing processes and Robot fault finding/recovery procedures.

Qualifications/Educational requirements:
Time Served highly skilled and confident individual, capable of working from your own initiative.
You will have completed a comprehensive engineering apprenticeship and have a minimum of BTEC/ONC in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with an in-depth understanding of G Code programming, machine capabilities, spindle tooling, work holding and machining methods.
You must have a copy of your Certificates to hand
