Project background
OUR CLIENT replaced its Legacy System known as Loans & Grants System with FLEXCUBE Universal Banking Solution (FCUBS) 12.0 Version in November 2013. Flexcube is getting upgrade to Version 14.3 with a go live plan in September 2020. The project is currently in initiation and is moving to unit test. The UAT is planned between end of June and mid of September.
OUR CLIENT implemented FLEXCUBE 12.0 with modules - base, Current Account Savings Accounts (CASA), Consumer Lending (CL) and Gateway Integration. Consumer lending is the main modules used in OUR CLIENT. During the project implementation, FLEXCUBE has undergone about 42 customizations with the addition of 150 new tables and about 350 new program units and 40 new screens. Nine customization releases were implemented to meet various businesses and interface requirements. The majority of the customizations are in the Consumer Lending module and Generic Interface. Gateway interface was also customized to integrate with ICP (OUR CLIENT Client Portal) and Peoplesoft requirements.
Overview of duties
OUR CLIENT is seeking an experienced Flexcube technical expert with extensive technical knowledge of the product and good functional expertise. The candidate should have full life cycle experience of a number of Flexcube implementations for version 12 and above.
Under the supervision of project manager of the upgrade, the successful candidate will serve as a technical expert on Flexcube upgrade and be following the responsibilities listed below.
Objective of the unit testing will be to ensure that all major issues related to the upgrade are captured at an early stage before the commencement of the User acceptance testing.
Oracle will be fixing all issues identified during the unit test and UAT.
TASKS
You will serve as a Technical EXPERT on Flexcube upgrade:
- Provide technical and functional assistance during migration, unit test, UAT and deployment
- Perform unit testing of the base, custom functionalities and interfaces
- Provide assistance in optimizing the test cases for the new version
- Create new test cases based on the potential minor changes in the upgraded version
- Prepare technical (SQL) scripts for the reconciliation of the data migrated to the new version
- Perform reconciliation of the data between old and new version to check data sanctity
- Write SQL queries for the validation of the data
- Review the new functional specification documents to ensure that it is in line with the existing documents
- During the UAT, perform the test of the fixes from Oracle
- Perform test of End of Day operations
- Prepare documentation of the issues whenever necessary to be communicated to Oracle
- Follow the issue tracking tool used in OUR CLIENT for raising issues
- Provide technical assistance during the test, migration and deployment activities
- Prepare documents related to the testing, migration and implementation of the upgrade - on a need basis
SKILLS
Experience in Flexcube upgrade projects - Version 14.x and 12.x
- Minimum educational qualification - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of implementation/development/support/upgrade experience in Flexcube implementation projects
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in Flexcube upgrade projects - Version 14.x and 12.x
- Ability to write technical (and operational) documentations
- Sound knowledge of FLEXCUBE modules - Core, CASA, Consumer Lending, General Ledger, Accounting, Generic Interfaces, Gateway Architecture and End of Day process
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Oracle SQL
- Minimum of 5 years of strong technical and functional experience in FLEXCUBE in Version 12 and above
- Minimum of 2 years of Technical and functional experience in Version 14
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FLEXCUBE Back End program development and debugging for a developer.
- Minimum of 5 years of strong technical and functional experience in FLEXCUBE modules - Core, CASA, Consumer Lending, General Ledger, Accounting, Generic Interfaces, Gateway Architecture and End of Day process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
