Job Description Summary:
The Digital Infrastructure Delivery Manager (DIDM) is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of the assigned digital initiatives. The role is responsible for defining the organization structure of the project, interfacing with various partners of digital and IT infrastructure delivery and effective management of the allocated resources and budget to accomplish the objectives of a project.

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas
Impact on the Business

Manage initiatives which can provide new products to the business with a competitive edge.
Manage initiatives which protect and secure new or existing services and products to the business.
Participate in formulating the infrastructure strategy for the region
Improve the efficiency of the IT infrastructure by aligning various projects to meet the strategic objectives.
Project planning and monitoring in terms of IT solution cost, schedule and scope and reporting progress to control variances, if any
Ensure operational and system tests are successfully completed and results to be shared with teams
Provide estimates for recharge and resource to the business or application project manager
Ensure infrastructure billing is as per agreed estimates
Order infrastructure related resources on SMART platform
Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders with regard to the progress of the Infrastructure related tasks in relation to the agreed timelines milestones.
Manage and report risks associated with Infrastructure area
Ensuring infrastructure deliverables are as per the agreed quality, cost and on schedule
Conduct regular team meetings and produce periodic reports
Timely escalation of issues and mitigation actions.
Manage and co-ordinate with IT teams to resolve post production defects and provides regular updates.
Act as the principal coordinating point for Infrastructure Stream
Release the project to production and provide post implementation support.
Assist Application PM from Infrastructure perspective to ensure smooth handover to Support teams from application end.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

Promote uniformity within IT infrastructure.
Implement strong planning and resource forecasting techniques for all projects.
Ensure due diligence and appropriate processes are followed when existing systems are modified and new systems are implemented with the objective of improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness and achieving excellent levels of risk-management;
Ensure compliance with internal and external technology standards and regulatory obligations;
Management of the operational risk by bridging the gaps in the regional IT infrastructure Resources
Work with IT Quality to define and promote best practices concerning projects implementation.

Infrastructure can be globally located in various diverse regions, including International Network, Local Domestic Networks, Back-Ends, Middleware, Server and Front-Ends

The role requires working closely with the Business, Technical teams , external suppliers etc to adopt the best practices and technologies for the region
Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation. This will be achieved by consistently adhering to core standards of behaviour
The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (For the role – not the role holder. Minimum requirements of the role.)
Typical qualifications would include a degree or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Business or an IT related field
Project management related qualification such as PMP or Prince2
Knowledge (certification ideal) of agile.
Extensive experience in an IT leadership role in a development or operations environment, with in-depth specialization in project delivery and management;
A track record of overseeing delivery of multiple, large scale, complex projects;
Proven technical expertise in an IT role;
Thorough knowledge of risk management
Good knowledge of crisis response and recovery;
Track record of successful staff management and motivation;
Internationalist in outlook and familiarity with foreign environments;
Successful project management and staff management;
A wide knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations ,networks etc
Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
Strong leadership and management ability, motivating the team;
Understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements;
Established financial and accounting acumen;
Be able to budget, track and control project expenditure;
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands; and
Demonstrated ability to assess IT trends and understand complex business requirements.
A high level of commitment and self-motivation, together with an ability to deal with stressful environments.
Understand the global strategies of the Group and collaborates with the business at a global level to accomplish these strategies;
Demonstrated commercial awareness and knowledge of the bank’s business;
Formal written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to formulate and articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of business;
Have an excellent knowledge of the means of bringing a project to successful and rapid conclusion
