Description
Our client is looking for a Front End Developer on a contract to hire basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document and test Front End code
- Add new functionality, capabilities, experiences and components
- Troubleshoot and debug UI issues
- Unit Test code and deploy via a Content Management System, adhering to change management approvals and policies
- Improve accessibility on the website and be an accessibility advocate in the organization
- Maintain and improve performance of the website (first paint, time to interactive, etc.)
- Support marketing initiatives (campaigns, analytics, personalization and SEO)
- Collaborate and nurture relationships with designers, developers, content specialists, marketing managers and third-party vendors across multiple locations
- Necessary Skills & Knowledge
- Good understanding of Web Standards and HTML semantics
- Experience writing CSS (Preferably without the use of CSS libraries or frameworks)
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 (Web Accessibility Standards)
- Experience writing vanilla JavaScript
- Familiar with Design and UX best practices
- Good verbal, written and listening skills
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 1+ years previous work experience in Front End web development
- Detail-oriented; ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently on relatively complex matters with minimal supervision, while proactively sharing timely status updates and information
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; capable of operating in a dynamic environment Nice to Have (but not required)
- Experience with Content Management Systems
- Sass/Less
- Experience with BEM or other modular CSS methodology
- Git or other code repositories
- Jest or other unit testing tools
- React
- Nunjucks
- Experience working with a design system
