Role: Portfolio Planner
Contract Length: 6 months

Salary: £513/day

The Role:
Duties and Responsibilities:
The role will work within a small PCO team within Strategic Services and will assist the start-up, planning, control and delivery of a Cat A classified programme for Defence.
- You will be responsible to the Senior PM for creating and maintaining the project schedules with the PMs, coordinating and controlling risk and managing assumptions and dependencies, all in order that the project delivers to performance, cost and time.
- To be successful you will manage a wide range of internal stakeholders from the Networks DT, the EPMO and Business Relationship Management Team.
- To be successful you will be a good collegiate and team worker, alongside a small team of 7 other PMs, Engineers and Architects to deliver the capability for Defence.
- To be successful you will work effectively with Project Controls in Networks DT and with the EPMO.
- You will be responsible for the Project Schedules, Financial Forecast of Out turn, Risk, Assumptions and Dependencies; reporting your progress through the relevant mechanisms
- You will be responsible for the controlled information management of this classified project
Experience Required:
- You will have Project Controls experience within MOD projects.
- You will have demonstrable experience within UK Defence.
- You will have experience of Microsoft EPM, Risk Management and Assumptions and Dependency management within an acquisition project.
- You will ideally have knowledge of relevant C4ISR capabilities and how they interact with the project, in order to assist with successful delivery.
- You will be familiar with Microsoft EPM processes and capability in order to manage the project successfully within the ISS Portfolio
