Description

1. Responsible for the administration and accurate documenting of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of IT assets ensuring records are accurate and auditable.
2. Ensure the organisation can obtain new or replacement IT equipment as required.
3. Ensure information on IT equipment assets are kept accurate and up to date in the Asset Management System (Hardcat).
4. Assist with procurement queries - record details of written and verbal requests using the service management tool (Cherwell) and take responsibility for assigned requests.
5. Organise couriers to and from Westminster liaising with customers about packaging, readiness for the equipment to be collected, etc.
6. Liaise with courier companies to chase collections/deliveries as required.
7. Process all authorised orders for equipment whilst acting as the routine contact point between Parliamentary Digital Services and customers in Parliament and constituency offices.
8. Check and process invoices received to establish whether they are valid, pass to finance for payment and liaise with the suppliers and customers to ensure billing problems are resolved.
9. Manual handling and moving of IT equipment.
10. Carry out any other tasks related to the role as agreed with the line manager.

This is primarily a non-technical role however it is expected that the candidate has an interest in IT.
