Product Price Analyst

Marcus Donald are currently recruiting for a Product Price Analyst to join a global organisation in the product team and reporting into the Senior Director. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to support and manage price book preparation for a product launch.
The Impact: The Product Pricing Analyst will play a key role in producing the go-to-market proposition for the business. You will be responsible for taking customer research and translating that into price book creation.
Product Price Analyst Responsibilities:
  • CSM Price Book Creation
  • Interpreting market research data and formulating insight based upon research findings
  • Produce analysis from historical financial and transactional data to test realised price points and willingness to pay
  • Combining recommendations from customer research on price elasticity and willingness to pay with findings from historical transactional behaviour then translate into a complete set of price books organised by customer segment, using the pre-defined methodology
  • Performing descriptive statistical and financial pricing performance analysis to inform price optimization process
  • Leading ad-hoc analysis to support product manager in order to develop the go-to-market approach and sales operating model
  • Assisting in forecasting and scenario planning activity of the new product
  • Supporting pricing process integration with finance, product, sales processes
  • Identifying process improvements and implement efficiencies
What We're Looking For in a Product Price Analyst :
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including complex formulae, Macro and VBA
  • Experience in Alteryx preferred
  • Excellent analytical, qualitative and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in undertaking pricing and forecasting activities, preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Self-starter with strong continuous improvement mind-set and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Collaborate cross-functionality with sales, finance and product management
  • Excellent internal customer relations skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
  • A high level of mathematical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
