Photonics Tape Out Support Engineer (Consultant)

The consultant will provide technical support to customers submitting photonic integrated circuit designs for fabrication.
The assignment
- Perform Design Rule Checks (DRCs) on multiple photonic integrated circuit designs.
- Provide feedback to customers on how to modify their designs for design rule compliance;
Required knowledge and skills
- An engineering or science background to the level of a master's degree is required
- It is not necessary to have a background in Photonics but an understanding of circuit design is a plus
- Use of Mentor Graphic's "Caliber" design rule checking software is a plus, but we will also provide training;
- Ability to write script-based programs (for example, Python) for tool automation is a plus;
- A background or completed courses in integrated circuit design (not necessarily optical IC design) is a plus.
- Good communication skills (good written and spoken English a must);
- Ability to work well in a team;
- Ability to handle unexpected situations calming and professionally.
