Description
Oracle Cloud Engineer contract available to start a 3-month rolling position for a Central Government programme. Current SC Clearance is essential for this role. The successful candidate will have recent hands on experience with Oracle Cloud. The successful engineer will work closely with the team to specify, design and implement the technical requirements for the programme.
This role involves: developing, validating, and reviewing conceptual, logical and physical network designs, addition of Virtual networks, Creation of routing rules, creation of access control lists. As the programme moves forward, the role will develop, and the candidate will be expected to understand and contribute to Software Development and Operational Infrastructure.
The position will start on a remote basis, with occasional travel expected to Central and North London throughout this year. The role is outside of IR35.
Key Skills:
- 2+ Years hands on as an Oracle Cloud Implementer
- Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle Cloud Container/Platform administration and configuration (OCI-C design/Foundation Services and console work)
- Virtual Networks (VNICs)
- ACLs
- Security Rules
- Virtual Machine Environment Creation and Management
- Experience of LAN configuration
- Experience of Firewall Design and Ruleset Configuration
Desirable Skills:
- Specific Architectures (Oracle Cloud)
- Experience and Design of network security (TACACS, SYSLOG, SNMP)
- Experience with Internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, OSPF
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix/Windows environment
