Our client is a large supplier to the UK MOD specifically in the maritime sector. We are looking for a systems engineer with experience of the below.
Develop the processes for contract operation using a systems engineering approach. This will include the processes for Governance, bill payment, change management as examples.
Oversee contractor activities and performance, through the management of surveys and defects on equipment ensuring that the records are kept up to date.
Act as the engineering expertise for the enabling services new service category. This is new to FMSP and will require a detailed understanding and a lead who is able to interpret the data. This will be crucial in establishing the new contractual procedures which the post will be focusing upon.
Provide an onsite surveying capability to capture the material state of the platforms in maintenance periods and ensure accuracy of information supplied by the contractor.
Verify the contractor performance and quality of engineering work through onsite visits and audits.
Liaise between surveyors and DAs to ensure work is completed to contract and to develop timely engineering solutions to equipment and structures out with design intent, providing assurance to ISM that submarine systems are acceptable for operations.
