Infrastructure Business PM Role within an ITIL Environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Q. Manage projects from project inceptions to successful completion and lead the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion working in close collaboration with the retained technology providers/vendors

Q. Work with the IT stakeholders and technology providers/vendors to develop robust requirements, processes, project acceptance criteria, deployment and test plans and required procedural changes

Q. Develops highly effective relationships with the technology providers/vendors' project manager and other areas of the business to deliver the optimal solution, escalating to the relevant business stakeholder where necessary (providing evaluated recommendations) to ensure the project is completed to time, cost and quality

Q. Coordinate with key stakeholders within all of the IT Service Delivery paths:

  • Organizing and leading meetings and facilitating group work sessions
  • Develop and maintains actionable and accurate project plan in an approved tool or format (MS Project) and maintain the central register for all the project artefacts
  • Manage resources, scope, prioritization, work-plans and the investigation of future enhancements
  • Coordinating development and testing of evaluations, product/process enhancements to improve service delivery
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define agreed upon project scope, outcomes, requirements, schedule, and resources;

Q. Proactively conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk on the project to ensure risks are identified, mitigated or escalated as necessary

Q. Develop and implement project communications to ensure visibility of the progress of the project work stream demonstrating control over both internal and technology provider/vendor progress and the continued viability of the project

Q. Coordinate IT solution deployment, working with the technology provider/vendor, IT Service Delivery and when required the business as necessary to ensure adherence with the agreed quality and assurance standard and processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, and COMPETENCIES

Educational/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in IT projects with strong track record of delivering complex IT projects in outsourced environment
  • Demonstrated experience of project management disciplines (Risk, Issue, Change, Deliverable Management), methods and tools
  • Knowledge or experience of working within the ITIL framework and associated Service Management practices
  • Good knowledge of information systems technologies, platforms and security principles,

Technical/Functional

  • Relative Degree and or masters
  • Prior ITIL foundations certification is a plus
  • Agile, Lean certification and experience preferred

Client Relationships

  • Experience of managing multiple parties including senior project stakeholders and third party vendors on high profile, high visibility projects
  • Ability to make an impact and have credibility in interactions across business groups
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle complex change and prioritise key activities

Team Management

  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal direction
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
  • Problem Solving/Analytical Skills
  • Strong Communication & Presentations Skills (Oral & Written)
  • Works well independently and as part of a team

OTHER INFORMATION

Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary
