Description
Flint is looking for an adventurous and Flexible Senior Network Engineer to work on location in the Falkland Islands.
We work with a number of operators and suppliers engaged in growing networks and ground stations and remote satellite terminals using the network. The Operations Systems Engineering team requires additional IP network expertise to support the operation and growth of the global network specifically on location in the Falkland Islands. The Senior Core Network Engineer will deliver key engineering support to operators' satellite and or WiMax IP connectivity and value-added services by providing core IP engineering expertise for both core network and remote edge network elements.
Principle Responsibilities
- Expert level knowledge in all other areas of: IP internetworking, LAN Switching, ATM & Voice technologies, IP Telephony.
- Configuration and management of a range of IP network equipment from multiple vendors as required for ongoing operation of the service
- Expert knowledge of WiMax, Satellite, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC. WAN protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN).
- Expert knowledge of IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Knowledge of Terrestrial Telco connectivity including both Fibre and Teleport technology
- Knowledge of Satellite Technologies
- Knowledge of Cisco Mobility products, vEPC, CPAR, PCRF).
- Understanding techniques of MSC, MSC-S including APG all versions, PBX in MSC, HLR, HSS, MGW, STP, MSS, IMS, IMT.
