Job role: Delivery Manager(BA)

Role Purpose
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of major enablers (products and services) for the Communications Hub agenda of delivering customer centric mobile and desktop journeys across multiple markets. This will involve co-ordination and delivery of complex customer journeys leveraging cross-functional teams in an agile context across multiple geographies.
The role holder must have strong experience delivering large-scale projects within complex environments and will be responsible for driving delivery across a large number of diverse stakeholders. The coverage of the role is global and will have a number of inter-dependencies, across a range of business areas delivering to time, cost and quality.
In addition, the role holder must be comfortable managing both financial and resource actuals and forecasting across the project, providing regular finance updates to project stakeholders and ensuring visibility is maintained, and projects are running within budget.

Portfolio Management
• Provide co-ordinated leadership ensuring that the balance between delivery time, delivery cost, quality assurance and benefit yield are optimised.
• Proactively identify threats to product delivery and programme wide risks, escalating to Delivery Lead and Key stakeholders and instigating recovery action to assure project delivery.
• Manage C level business, IT and digital stakeholders as well as key vendors/partners to ensure effective communications and timely escalations.
• Engage and collaborate with other functions and teams in digital to ensure solutions are consistent and signed-off in a timely manner.

Governance
• Design and execute routines to ensure governance of the project and provide regular updates to management and key stakeholders
• Ensure robust risk and issue management across the portfolio
• Generate concise and precise MI in line with PMO governance cycles

Leadership
• Provide leadership to the cross functional teams across the project
• Demonstrate leadership to the team and stakeholders by bringing together the project teams in order to ensure effective delivery
• Coach and advise team members to ensure growth/development and use of best practices
• Lead and matrix manage assigned technical and 3rd party teams.
• Promote and embed project management methodologies and governance frameworks in line with HSBC Project Management Standards.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior programme management/delivery lead role
• 10+ years’ experience in project management/programme management/delivery roles
• 2+ years’ experience in agile methodologies

Skills
• Experience of delivery in complex environments on a global scale (i.e. across time zones & geographies and with remote teams in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, Malaysia, Poland & India)
• Proven track record of IT delivery using Agile and/or DevOps methodology within a Digital environment
• Prior experience of working with Mobile or Digital technologies
• Highly motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Strong experience of Agile software delivery
• Experience of managing multi-million dollar IT projects
• Experience of day to day management of technical delivery teams
