Financial Adviser
This is an opportunity for an experienced Financial Adviser to b e r e s p o n s i b l e f o r department s service budget preparation and budget monitoring processes, and overseeing grant claims.
- The role will be working at the rate of £450- £550 Dependent on experience on Umbrella company basis.
- The role is initially for a period of 3-6 months.
Purpose of the job :
- To be responsible for financial advice to the Director of CSF,CSF managers,headteachers and their staff, other managers and members on all financial matters related to schools and the children s services.
- To participate in the management of the Accountancy team.
Required Experience :
- Full professional membership of CIPFA or equivalent (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with experience of providing financial advice in a multi functional organisation ideally children s services and schools.
- Knowledge of local government finance,accounting practice and the regulatory framework
- Knowledge of education and children s services funding mechanisms
- Knowledge of the arrangements for devolved management of schools and the financial implications of these arrangements
- Understanding of the principles of resource allocation and the ability to apply these to local education and children s services
- Understanding of management accounting, and the ability to present financial information for management decision-making
