Requirements
System Engineer - VMWare/Citrix Specialist
. Responsible for architectural design, installation/configuration of Virtualization stack within
CDI, leveraging on two vendors VMWare and Citrix
v Including standard VMWare Stack (Separate Compute/Storage)
v Including HCI VMWare Stack (vSan)
v Migration of Legacy RHEV VM to VMWare
v Very good knowledge of administration of VMware ESX, XenDesktop, XenApp;
v Experience with ICA and Blast remote protocols
. Beneficial: RDP, PCOIP
. Manage and maintain Citrix VDI Cluster (approx. 1.7k VDI)
v Including Citrix Desktop Redirection services (approx. 2k Desktops via VDA)
v As well as for provisioning of published applications (XenApp & Horizon) and
. Patch management of managed environments
v Perform regular server hardware driver and firmware integration and certification for
automated OS installation routine;
. Capacity management of virtualization environments
. Lifecycle management of hypervisors and storage software
. Integration of virtualization and software defined storage
. Performance tuning and cost optimization of managed environments
. Managing licenses for Virtualization and Storage
. Optimization of virtualization environment with respect to licenses costs
. Project consulting with respect to virtualization and storage definitions
. Project post Go Live Incident and Problem Resolution
. Wide range troubleshooting skills involving, Active Directory, storage, security, DNS/DHCP,
. printers, server hardware, etc.;
. Server hardware driver and firmware integration into automated OS installation routines
