Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit an IBM Curam (SPM) Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:
Alongside colleagues in the organisation's Live Running team, design and develop robust, scalable and secure updates for operational SPM services
Support the Programme test team with path to live' testing to ensure that new and updated services are able to handle specified load, are robust and can be supported & maintained over the long-term.
Support out of hours release activities
Provide knowledge transfer to software developers (permanent staff) in CDO Division's Software Engineering team
Adopt the use of agile technical practice
Requirements:
Must have hands-on experience of developing & configuring IBM Curam (Social Programme Management) software.
Deep understanding of the SPM Enterprise Framework
Application proficiencies and experience in IBM WebSphere, Eclipse, Rational Software Architect, JIRA, Confluence.
Awareness of standard technical practices including unit testing, version control, continuous integration, coding standards, design patterns & refactoring.
Experience of working in agile projects/programmes. In particular you must be proficient in iterative software development and understand the associated responsibilities, practices and artefacts.
