Data Centre Networking & DDI

Cloudstream is working with a Global IT Consultancy that is currently running a project on site Global Bank. A new opportunity has arisen for 2x DDI and Data Centre Networking Experts with large DDI infrastructure projects experience including upgrades and migrations.

Location: Barnsley

Rate: £/day *Inside IR35*

Contract: 6 months rolling

Role Description:

  • DDI subject matter expert with significant experience working within the DDI technology space.
  • Experience of planning, implementing and supporting large DDI infrastructure projects including upgrades and migrations both physically (Servers, appliances) and logically (software versions, product changes, data migrations).
  • Solid understanding of risk with the ability to assess and manage risks, including headwind challenges and downstream user or service impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the abilities to work constructively and collaboratively within a team as well as independently, across time zones, geographies and languages.
  • Strong English language necessary.
  • Understanding of industry standard project management methodologies, tooling and governance, with a track record of planning, documenting and managing infrastructure project implementations.
  • Infrastructure level technology specific skills and experience including; QIP, Infoblox, efficientIP and runIP.
  • F5 GTM desirable.
  • Automation/Scripting (Shell, ansible, VBA, python, JavaScript, JSON, API integration or development) advantageous.
  • Key things to note are the skills required are more infrastructure/engineering focussed not user level.
