Description
We are looking for several Database Administrators for a multinational client in The Hague
Tasks:
At present this includes DB2 LUW, DB2 on z/OS, Microsoft SQL server, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB NoSQL and Oracle. Main activities comprise the following:
- Automation of existing processes in this area: the target situation is infrastructure as code'.
- Installation and maintenance of database system instances inclusive of capacity management and optimisation of configuration according to the needs of the requester.
- Emergency and routine updates.
- Creation and modification of application databases through the execution of DDL scripts. Analysis of said scripts and the resulting data models and provision of expert advice on request and pro-actively on possible optimisations from both a quality and performance perspective, as well as identification of potential sources of error or problem.
- Backup management and administration of all databases inclusive of partial and complete restore.
- Management of data syndication and migration between different data models and or database system instances. Data integrity/consistency analysis, optimisation and clean-up.
- Extraction of data and configuration of tools for the complete and proper monitoring of all aspects of the database infrastructure inclusive of database usage and performance statistics and capacity monitoring/management.
- Incident resolution
Required skills
- Very good knowledge of DB2 LUW 11 and DB2 12 on z/OS is mandatory
- Deep knowledge of MongoDB 3.4 is mandatory
- Knowledge of as many as possible in Microsoft SQL server , MySQL, MariaDB, NoSQL and Oracle 11g is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, in the English language.
- Deep knowledge of ITIL V 3
Other skills:
- The consultant must have worked actively on recent projects using the above technologies. The project should have been released to production.
- The consultant must have as many as possible certifications in the areas requested above
- The Consultant must have a strong focus on delivering results, producing outcomes against the agreed milestones.
