Job description:
- Conducting (small-scale) traffic research (eg sample measurements, benchmark, drawing up a signalling plan, etc.):
o Identifying problems;
o Defining research questions;
o Conducting necessary measurements and (literature) research;
o Processing measurement data and findings;
o Reporting results;
- Preparation, supervision and follow-up of traffic research (eg parking questioning, parking measurements, signalling studies, ):
o Elaborating competition for study assignment;
o Preparation, reporting and active participation in consultations with the consultancy;
o Substantive follow-up of study assignment;
o Critical analysis of the results of the study;
o Review and control of completed (sub) reports;
- Support in preparation of and during tendering procedures for parking techniques (eg parking meters, barrier systems, ):
o Translate policy vision or measure into (creative) technical solutions;
o Drawing up a description of minimum technical requirements;
o Site investigation in preparation for tendering;
o Market research in preparation for tendering and estimate of costs;
o Projecting available market solutions to operational workload;
o Proposal of selection and award criteria;
o Identifying technical pitfalls and critical success factors;
o Evaluation and evaluation of tenders on the basis of defined award criteria;
o Preparing an award report;
- Support in the execution of assignments:
o Preliminary field research in function of implementation
o Preparation, reporting and active participation in consultation moments with the contractor;
o Follow-up of the implementation and check against agreements made with the contractor;
o Managing contractors on site;
o Intensive testing of technical hardware and software with a view to broad roll-out and commissioning;
o Quality control and reporting in function of delivery;
o Review and control of as-built plan in function of delivery;
o Aftercare after commissioning of the systems;
- Support in operational management of parking systems:
o Monitoring the performance of systems;
o Follow-up and control of reports from end users;
o Reporting on operational performance;
o Reporting defects and bugs to contractors;
o Follow-up of interventions by the contractor (within agreed service times);
o Assessment of and reporting on the service level of the contractor on the basis of defined service level agreements;
o Review and control of performance statement attached to invoice;
Communication and participation
o Identifying moments when communication with stakeholders is required;
o Preparing communication about measures in collaboration with communication service;
o Organizing and participating in information markets as a moment of participation with stakeholders around a policy vision or measure;
o Reporting received reports and findings during participation moments;
o Preparation and review of web and press texts;
The management and daily reporting is done by and to the internal project manager of the client.
