Description

Experience
*Linux system administration
oPrimarily RHEL-based (inc. Centos)
oSome debian-based
*Solaris
*MySQL/MariaDB
*Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex end-user problems with software and GUI desktop environments
*Experience supporting the use of Linux and common end-user software, eg python, anaconda, singularity, latex, etc
*Creating and reviewing documentation
*Supporting Virtual environments
*Remote end-user support, including remote access to and use of Linux systems from other platforms (eg Windows, Mac)
*Support of users and Linux systems in technically diverse (preferably academic RH/Centos) environment
*Deployment of software/operating systems using enterprise level management tools like puppet (version 3-5)/satellite

Skills
*Basic sysadmin
*SSSD
*Satellite
*Active Directory (connectivity from Linux and use for authentication/authorisataion and mapping)
*Puppet
*Web Servers
*Networking
*Coding/Scripting: at least bash and something else (python, Perl, etc)
*Linux on the desktop and server
*Software packaging - Env Modules, RPM, compiling from source
