Cost Consultant position joining an experienced team who can offer long-term skill and career development
A great opportunity has arisen for a Cost Consultant to work for a leading Engineering Consultancy. This Cost Consultant role will be joining an organisation still undergoing ambitious growth plans and in a strong market position. The ideal candidate will be an experienced in cost estimating and forecasting and who are familiar with recognised estimating methodologies and techniques.
The role can be flexible on location, either remote working from home or out of office locations in Bath and London Requirements for this role
Experience in a variety of estimating methods - from analogous and comparative through to parametric and bottom up techniques; in support of both hardware and/or software systems acquisitions and/or through life support.
You will be comfortable applying these estimating techniques to inform Economic Appraisals, Trade Studies and/or Cost Benefit Analysis. You will also be confident in using MS Excel as a cost modelling tool.
Ability to present and articulate complex work clearly to stakeholders is important.
An understanding of Earned Value Management techniques would be useful, along with the ability to develop robust cost models that satisfy independent verification and validation scrutiny
Relevant professional bodies might be ICEAA or ACostE and you might hold professional qualifications such as CCEA, ICostE or CPCostE. Support, training and tailored experience can be provided in order for you to achieve these, if not already held.
