Description
A leading public sector client based in SW London, is currently looking for a Django/Python Developer for an initial 6 month, inside IR35, paying up to £700 per day via Umbrella. The ideal candidate will hold valid CTC clearance, or willing to undertake this check.
Key Responsibilities -
- Maintenance, issue resolution and development of a Django web application and associated databases and Servers
- Liaison with users, partners and suppliers to resolve application, database and network issues, including configuration and performance problems
- Maintaining security and reliability of the Servers and data, including access management, backups, certificate management and system monitoring
- Maintenance of code repository and automation of deployment process to multiple virtual Servers
- Maintaining application and systems documentation as required
Essential Criteria -
- Django Backend development experience (Python, MySQL, Django ORM)
- Familiarity with configuration control under a Quality Management System
- Qualified to degree level in engineering, computer science or a related subject OR having significant directly relevant experience.
- Experience of network administration in a multi-platform environment (Windows, Linux).
- Experience of user support with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including production of technical and user documentation
- A good understanding of relevant Internet and local network standards, protocols and hardware, including security, virtualisation, and remote desktop technology. Quick to learn new technologies.
- A logical approach enabling you to work through complex problems in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Able to work independently and research solutions to problems
- Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
