Description

Tasks:

  • Develop and apply the latest ML approaches to different datasets such as:
    • data that is structured,
    • images
    • text
    • speech
    • Use/take a scientific, sensible, and realistic, approach to all project work
    • Analyse and compare the outputs from differing methodologies and suggest best techniques to stake-holder(s)
    • Produce well written and resilient code that can be successfully deployed to a production environment
    • Work alongside/collaborate with scientific and medical specialists
    • Clearly and succinctly present technical topics/subjects to various technical and no technical audiences
    • Guide and support colleagues

Required Skills

  • Several years of experience in data science and ML engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of various programming languages such as python, R, SQL, Bash
  • Advanced knowledge of Big Data tech such as Spark (this is a must)
  • Advanced knowledge of deep frameworks eg
  • TensorFlow
  • PyTorch
  • Keras
  • Current understanding and exposure to ML techniques and approaches. This may, depending on the project, include:
  • computer vision (must have)
  • natural language processing
  • predictive modelling
  • deep learning
  • time series analysis
  • recurrent neural networks
  • convolutional neural networks,
  • Current understanding of general technical approaches such as
  • Gradient boosting algorithms
  • glmnet,
  • supervised learning methods
  • random forest
  • Very good knowledge of DevOps systems and tools
  • Very good knowledge of Software development tools/patterns/approaches etc
  • Great communicator able to talk clearly abut technical topics to audiences of varied technical levels
  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Azure Cloud Environment (Very desirable)
  • Lambda
  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science or related field
