Evolve ERP are currently looking for 2 x IT Support Engineers for a local Government client based in the Hague. The contract will start for 12 months with extensions.
DESCRIPTION
As an IT Support Engineer, you focus on solving IT-related (hard-software) problems. You do this by telephone or by email. That can sometimes be quite hectic because you are the point of contact for the customer. You will be a person our customers trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and solve Hardware and Software issues
- Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
- Incident and Change management within a special period of time (SLA)
- Run a diagnosis of the problem on the spot using an diagnostic tool
- Install Desktop/laptop and printer devices
- Replace defective parts and equipment if necessary
- Assemble and install Video Conferencing systems (VICO)
- Participate in planned changes, updates and moves by arranging equipment and transferring data
- Provide prompt and communicate accurate feedback to client
- Ensure all issues are properly logged and up to date in ticketing system
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Maintain good relationships with clients
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 Year experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
- Experience with eg Windows 7/10, Office 2010, I Explorer, Chrome, Skype, Adobe
- Good understanding of computer systems (hard- & software), printers and VICO systems
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot support and repair of desktop hardware
- Vocational Education and communication skills
- Good mastering of the English language, both written and verbal
