RAN Small Cells Network Planning & Optimisation
Flint are supporting a global Telecommunications company looking for an experienced RAN Optimisation Engineer to support the Radio Network in the Capacity and Transmission Optimisation.
In this role you will:
- Act as a technical expert, working with other teams across the business and with other companies, and providing technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Develop and continually improve processes and methodologies used within the team.
- Conduct complex analysis and act on the results within the remit of the team.
- Clearly present the results of anlaysis to support senior management in strategic decision making.
- Ensure that work undertaken within the team deliver strategic and operational goals.
- Assist in development of tools used within the team, where necessary to improve accuracy and productivity.
- Techncial review and oversight of work done by managed service providers, instructing and prioritising work within an agreed delivery framework.
Key experience required:
- Understanding of statistical analysis techniques used in capacity planning and forecasting.
- Significant technical knowledge, understanding and experience of the mobile radio access network.
- Understanding of the complex interaction between coverage and capacity in the mobile radio access network.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of capacity management techniques and best practice.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of planning transmission/transport networks as well as the traditional mobile RAN elements.
