Description
We are seeking experienced Security Cleared (DV) Network Engineer on behalf of our client, based in West Midlands. The successful Network Engineer will be working as a part of a team and provide 3rd line support, on-site network engineering services across a number of systems. The team reports to the System Operating Authority for day2day prioritisation of tasks according to the Operational tempo. This is a full time contract.
Day to day duties may include:
- Perform IT Service Management activities for the network, including but not limited to: incident management, problem management, change management, configuration management, knowledge management, and service validation and testing.
- To be in attendance (at Site A) during normal working hours (NWH)
- To occasionally work outside of working hours (OWH) to conduct pre-planned change activity.
- To travel to other locations to conduct network support. These support tasks may last several days. Not less than 1 in 8 weeks will be spent at other offices
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (Enterprise)
- 3-5 years or longer experience supporting complex Campus LAN & WAN networks based on IP cryptography.
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of OSPF
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of EIGRP
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of DMVPN
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of BGP
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of QoS (DSCP)
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of PBR
- Configuration and administration within a production environment of VSS
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will have a valid UK Security Clearance prior their start.
