Description
Essential:
- Interpretation of design change solutions from a build environment and their incorporation into an in-service platform. The ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation sets to ensure the safe incorporation of the design solution in-service.
- Accurately author technical documentation to support modifications to the submarine platform, giving due consideration to the operational and maintenance environments and their constraints.
- Development of design change solutions according to stakeholder requirements and constraints.
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science).
- Knowledge of the system engineering life cycle and be able to apply good systems engineering practices to your work.
- Strong IT. skills, verbal & written communication skills.
Dsirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of Royal Navy Submarine operation (ideally the Astute Class at Whole Boat and Major System level).
- Member of an appropriate professional institution, working towards Chartered status.
