Title: Network Administrators
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay: $37/hr.
Years of experience: 3+
Responsibilities:
- Performs network discovery in preparation for NAC project
- Coordinate with locations/third party vendors to obtain pictures/floorplans for NAC project
- Audits and documents the network infrastructure to ensure adherence to company standards
- Works with vendors to ensure cabling/equipment installations are completed per business requirements
- Coordinates installations of new equipment with local site contacts/third party vendors
- Works in collaboration with Network Team to configure and deploy NAC solution for 450+ locations.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the OSI model
- Understands functions of devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VOIP phones, servers, wireless bridges and media converters
- Understands layer 2 switching concepts/technologies: MAC addresses, VLANs, Trunks, STP
- Understands IP addressing, subnetting and ARP
- Knowledge of remote-access protocols: SSH, Telnet
- Knowledge of AAA protocols: TACACS+ and RADIUS
- Knowledge of network discovery protocols: SNMP, CDP and LLDP
- Knowledge of Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Understands common network troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup
- Knowledge of copper and fiber transport medias and their associated standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
