I have a 12 Month assignment for an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a large organisation with the Management, design and configuration of their security and networking systems. You must hold a valid SC clearance for this position.
The role has been deemed inside ir35.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record and document customer requirements for remote Intelligence applications and define detailed requirements including use cases, feature specifications, functional requirements and environmental requirements.
- Develop and build internal and external partner relations working collaboratively to foster good relations.
- Work collaboratively with the service support and infrastructure teams and non-technical user groups. Identify issues which will involve other teams and facilitate and support fault resolution and project handover.
- To manage the life cycle of own projects and those of others including design, testing, change, deployment and acceptance management.
- Apply relevant local and security policies effectively at all times; ensuring security is an integral part of all developed systems, ensuring that suitable controls to protect information are in use.
- Manage software defects, ensuring they are tracked, investigated, and corrected whether found within internal software or third-party software.
- Research new technologies and equipment relevant to the business area, identifying new tools and techniques.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of working with and configuring from scratch:
- NSX
- vSAN, vCenter
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- SIEMs
- SCCM/PDQ Deploy
- Thycotic and EndPoint protection systems (ideally Endgame)
- Any knowledge with Elastic would be highly advantageous.
- You must hold a valid SC clearance.
