Description
Lead Developer (Senior Software Engineer Programmer Python Java Portfolio Management System PMS Buy Side Hedge Fund Asset Manager Investment Management Finance FX Equities Fixed Income Rates Credit Bonds Derivatives JavaScript AWS Amazon Web Services) required by our asset management client in London.
You MUST have the following:
- Excellent experience as a senior or lead Software Engineer, Developer or Programmer
- Advanced Python or Java
- Experience building and extending portfolio management systems within a buy-side institution- hedge fund, asset manager, investment manager
- Broad knowledge of FX, equities or Fixed Income products (bonds, rates, credit derivatives etc)
- Experience facing off to senior Front Office stakeholder such as quants and portfolio managers
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- JavaScript
- AWS
- Knowledge of derivatives such as options, futures, forwards, swaps
Role: Lead Developer (Senior Software Engineer Programmer Python Java Portfolio Management System PMS Buy Side Hedge Fund Asset Manager Investment Management Finance FX Equities Fixed Income Rates Credit Bonds Derivatives JavaScript AWS Amazon Web Services) required by our asset management client in London. You will be the lead in a team of 3-4 engineers that are creating a portfolio management system in Fixed Income. The system will assess the composition of the portfolio and the risk aligned to it. You will face off directly to the Fixed Income portfolio managers who are sponsoring the project and providing requirements. The project is at inception. The system will be Java and Python on the Back End and React on the Front End. It will be hosted in AWS.
Experience in portfolio management systems on the buy side (asset management/investment management) is imperative. You only need one of Python or Java. You do not need JavaScript. You must be willing to learn the technology you do not have. You do not need AWS.
