1st/2nd Line Support Engineers - IT Volunteers - Public Sector
IT Volunteers required by a Portsmouth based Public Sector body. Our customer is running a number of IT Projects and has a influx of BAU requests and are looking to hire a couple of IT Volunteers to assist.
Our customer in Portsmouth require 1st and 2nd Line Support Engineers to assist with their BAU Issues and assist in a Windows 10 roll-out to end users.
The current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic has placed significant pressure on IT/Digital resources across the body. The requirement is to assist them in their time of need, offering your expertise in Helpdesk and Desktop support when they have a massive stain on their resource.
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Windows Experience
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems
- Windows 10/Windows 7
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- Microsoft Office
- O365/Teams and advantage
- Remote and Face to Face Support
- troubleshooting skill essential
- Excellent communication skills required
- ITIL Foundation preferred
This role will be based in Portsmouth, but there may be some travel locally which is required from time to time.
This role is an immediate requirement, with interview slots available next week.
This is a role for a volunteer, and they will consider both Full time and part time volunteers to help - but it has the chance to move into permanent/long-term contract role in the future.
This would suit Contractors in between contracts, permanent people recently been made redundant and looking to find some interim work or people on furlough who have some spare time to offer.
