1st/2nd Line Support Engineer - ITIL - PL/SQL - SOAP UI

This is a genuinely fantastic opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious EU Institutions in Europe.

We are on the lookout for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer with a degree + at least 3 years of experience.

These are long term contracts with a very high chance of renewal. The longer you work there, the more valuable you become and this means that you could stay there for years.

In addition, they are not just looking for a standard Engineer; they want people who can make a contribution to the team, who can bring new ideas and who can continue to learn and improve.

Essential experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in IT or related field with a minimum of 3 years of professional IT experience or 6 years of professional experience without a higher post-secondary school degree
  • Proven knowledge in end user assistance or support of information systems, especially in the context of business workflow applications, is essential
  • Good understanding of business processes and requirements in the private and/or public sector (eg financial, procurement, etc.)
  • Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites and social networks and IS knowledge base maintenance
  • Good reporting methods
  • Good IT skills; very good knowledge of MS Office tools is mandatory
  • Very good knowledge in ITIL procedures or equivalent and the related support tools is mandatory
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English is required (B2 or higher)

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of end user/client support in E-business/E-commerce is an asset
  • Good knowledge of business workflow application analysis tools (eg PL/SQL, SOAP-UI) is an asset

*Note - working from home will likely be required initially. However, you will be required to work Full time on site once the travel restrictions have been lifted.
