SDET - Python - IOS - London - £550 p/d
I am looking for a SDET who is experienced in working in an Agile business and used to morning standups as well as working with a US based team. Someone who is passionate about details and very methodical in tracing down bugs as my client comes across issues in our codebase and third parties code often. You have to be experienced in Python 3.5, including asynchronous design and test patterns, eg asyncio and aiohttp. You will also need experience with Serial UART, secure restful API with JWT (or other token-based authentication), AWS IoT Core, Lambda and EC2 and GitLab are all really great to haves. Yocto and BitBake are further down the nice to have list. The key aspects to the project is someone who can continue build out of our end-to-end integration test infrastructure for our hardware and iOS app product to drive the highest level of product quality. Tie together various unit tests to build a full end-to-end regression test and automate for regular builds as well as load and soak testing strategies. Provide advice and recommendations on areas of risk in the design of the product architecture and in improvements that could be made to the testing system.
This role is deemed outside IR35.
Key Skills:
- Experience in instrumentation of testing a hardware product - eg using Raspberry Pi to collect and verify expected sensor data, etc
- Automation of testing an iOS app
- Python 3 - some of our current unit testing components are written in Python
- GitLab CI/CD
- Test against AWS API Gateway
- Test against secure RESTful API
- Develop test scripts from user journeys and feature lists
- Develop test scripts to test against security hardening
- Ability to get up to speed quickly with partial or example code, or high level library documentation
