Description

Our Government client based in Scotland are recruiting for a Database Administrator

The candidate must have experience with Scematrons and XML. They will work closely with a Programmer.

The application is written as an XML database. The application takes the input from the Police Scotland system, and validates the information provided according to the Schematron rules. Once validated the information is loaded into a XML database, with the previous copy of the database being held as a backup.

The system performs several functions:

  • Loading data files on to the system
  • Adding new accident data to the Live system
  • Editing records and creating new records within the Stats 21 system
  • Adding new records manually to the Stats 21 system
  • Exporting monthly datasets
  • Editing Live XML data accident records
  • Deleting Records from Stats 21 System
  • Loading Trunk Road data from WDM
  • Ad Hoc Manual Changes to WDM Values
  • Creating Annual Snapshots
