Description

We are looking for one "I nstructional eLearning designer " to start from ASAP an 4-weeks contract for an international Org' -client in ROME, where ON-/OFF-site work is possible. Possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability. English speaking environment. Our client is an international organisation in Rome and a great reference in any CV!

  • Duty station: Rome/Offsite, ON-/OFF-site work is possible.

TASKS

The position requires the creation of eLearning materials using Articulate 360 or Lectora. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

Instructional Designer

  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Working with subject matter experts and identifying target audience's training needs
  • Applying testedinstructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
    • The courses' content must be presented in a clear and engaging manner using a range of learning activities such videos, animations, mini games, interactive stories, etc., and must follow CLIENT's visual guidelines
    • The courses will be structured in modules, preferably not longer than 20 minutes each, and the number of modules per courses will vary according to the topic's complexity.
    • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs
    • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
    • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
      • All CLIENT branding and communications guidelines for eLearning courses should be respected. Detailed guidance will be given.
      • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
      • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
      • Courses will be produced primarily in English, with the possibility of being translated, on demand, to the other Fund's official languages (French, Spanish and Arabic). The translation will be provided by CLIENT.
      • Maintain project documentation and course folders

SKILLS

  • At least 3 years demonstrable experience of Articulate 360 and/or Lectora software
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar

Requirements:

  • Courses must be SCORM 1.2 compliant.
  • Courses do not require hardware beyond basic sound cards, speakers and video players.
  • Courses must run on Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Low-bandwidth
  • All the trainings should be developed using responsive eLearning design in order to be fully mobile compliant.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential. Basic French and Spanish and a knowledge of Arabic an asset.
