We are currently recruiting for an experienced Murex Developer to join us on an initial 6 month remote contract.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- PL and Risk reporting (technically and functionally).
- Understanding of requirements from the risk departments, develop the reports and test them with the users (technically and functionally)
- Working with mxml interfaces, and the integration work related to migration
- working with the FO Desk and Middle Office in order to implement requirements such as simulation views, daily processes before explaining PL and Greeks and the differences
- Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements, writing specifications, preparing the sprint planning. Assist in the coordination of the upcoming tests (UAT and Migration Dress Rehearsal)
- Developing FX and FX Derivatives products, full trade lifecycle and market operations
- Developing and enhancing our Murex FX & FX Derivatives platform.
Experience Required:
- Strong knowledge of Datamart
- Strong understanding of PL and Risk reporting (technically and functionally).
- Strong understanding of requirements from the risk departments, develop the reports and test them with the users (technically and functionally)
- Strong understanding of mxml interfaces, and the integration work related to migration
- Previous experience of implementing requirements such as simulation views, daily processes, but also to be able to test and explain PL and Greeks and the differences
- Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements, writing specifications, preparing the sprint planning. Also assist in the coordination of the upcoming tests (UAT and Migration Dress Rehearsal)
- Knowledge of FX and FX Derivatives products, full trade lifecycle and market operations
- Extensive Murex background, Murex 3.1
- Strong Java development experience, SQL and scripting
- Experience of Front Office environment
- Detailed knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Exposure to a formal development methodology, preferably Agile
- Based in the UK
- Involvement in a Murex upgrade Desirable
- Web development experience, including experience with Tomcat, Apache, WSDL Desirable
- Experience of scheduling tools (UC4 in particular) Desirable
- Experience of monitoring tools (Geneos, Tivoli in particular) Desirable
- Bachelors degree or similar
- Agile experience
- 5+ years experience in delivery of projects for the Front Office
