Senior Java Backend Developer/JVM/Global eCommerce company/Remote
Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join a Global eCommerce company on a 100% remote basis (due to Covid) with an ASAP start date! The specialist will be placed in a cross functional team working on creating features and solutions for commercial needs.
The Technology stack has the following technologies: Java 8+/11, Scala, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL.
Skills/experience required for this role include:
- Very strong Java Back End development background with experience on JVM platform (essential)
- Minimum Java 8+ (ideally Java 11)/Spring framework
- Experience/knowledge of Scala, ElasticSearch, Kafta (bonus skills)
- JUnit, TestNG, Git, Memcached, Akka
- Keen to teach, mentor and develop others.
- Experience with and passionate about being part of Agile team
- Good TDD and BDD experience
- Ecommerce/retail experienceis very advantageous for this position (although not necessary).
