Description
Currently seeking an experienced SCCM Consultant, to assist my client on an initial 3 to 6 month project with due for further extension, based on site at their offices in Erskine Scotland.
Successful candidate will be based out of Erskine RDC and will be on site Mon-Fri during business working hours.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years prior Service Design experience of designing enterprise solutions and have the ability to produce design documentation artifacts including higher level designs, lower level designs, installation and operation guides as well as technical notes and knowledge base documentation within medium to large scale Software Distribution solutions.
Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current and active SC Clearance, or be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance at the clients request.
Candidate must have EXPERT level skills in all aspects of the product set including:
- Configuration Manager 2012 and Current Branch.
- App-V (packaging and distribution - standalone and integrated).
- VDI Gold Image.
- Deployment and ongoing management of Office 2013 & Office 2016.
- Infrastructure design and installation.
- WSUS
- OSD/MDT
- Good all round SQL skills (including complex query authoring).
- OS skills to include Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 & Windows 10 for building, configuration and deployment.
Essential Skills
- Prototyping of server & desktop builds with SCCM.
- Use of Configuration Management system to update and retrieve software and config data.
- Team player but can also work unsupervised.
- Expert level diagnostic and logical fault-finding skills to a 4th line level.
- Understating of network protocols (eg HTTP, HTTPS, TCP etc...) and associated technologies (eg AD, GPO's, SSL, IIS, WDS).
- Exposure and working knowledge of both physical and virtual environments.
- Virtual infrastructure skills, administration for templates, clones and virtual disks.
- PowerShell
- Awareness of ITIL practices and processes.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to confidently converse across all levels of management.
